Welcome to VISION 2022
Southwestern Oregon Community College Foundation and Coos Art Museum announce VISION 2022, an art competition for high school students from throughout Southern Oregon. “The purpose of the annual VISION exhibit is to encourage gifted high school art students to pursue college study and a career in the visual arts.”
VISION 2022 exhibition opens on Friday, February 25, 2022 and will run through Saturday, April 15, 2022, at the museum in Coos Bay. The Awards will be sent by mail to recipients.
Students can tour VISION 2022 artworks on display in the upstairs Mabel Hansen Gallery and the Uno E. Richter Atrium Gallery.
Southwestern Oregon Community College will present the VISION 2022 awards to the winners. The top 3 awards include:
Best of Show winner will receive a $250 cash award and a two-year tuition-waiver scholarship to attend Southwestern.
Second Place Overall winner will receive a $100 cash award and a two-year tuition-waiver scholarship.
Third Place Overall winner will receive a $75 cash award and a two-year tuition-waiver scholarship.
2022 Biennial Student Art Exhibit
Coos Art Museum will be opening the 2022 Biennial Student Art Exhibit on Friday, February 25th, 2022. This exciting event brings the artistic endeavors of our communities’ youth into one place. This exhibit includes artwork in multiple medium created by students, pre-school through 12th grade from participating South Coast regional, private, and home-schooled students. The exhibit will be free to the public, encouraging families and friends to share in this amazing event.
The 2022 Biennial Student Art Exhibit will run from run from February 25th – April 15th 2022.
