
Carol Davis, President – Carol joined the Coos Bay community in 2010 and immediately became involved in the Coos Art Museum as a volunteer. Carol has experience in marketing, business, writing and editing, and a love of art. Carol was most recently elected to the board in 2019.

Tom Foster, Vice President – Tom is a retired General Manager of Coos Bay Rail Link with 50 years of railroad experience. Tom has served on the board of Coos Art Museum for over five years.

Kathleen Zappelli, Secretary – Kathleen Zappelli is the current Board Secretary. She is a retired Art and English teacher focusing on art education for the youth of our county.

Scott Carpenter, Member – Scott is a retired corporate attorney who recently moved to Coos Bay. Scott spent the majority of his career working with large clients in the biotech and healthcare industries. Before his retirement, he was the SVP and chief legal officer of a large hospital system. Scott was appointed to serve as a member in mid – 2021.

Joe Paulet, Member – Joe joined the Art museum board in 2020. He is passionate about the arts and dedicated to seeing our museum thrive. Joe believes the museum is an asset to our community.

Hilary Baker, Member – Hilary recently retired, giving her more time for artistic endeavors. She was in architect practice in the UK and Coos Bay. She lives in Fairview and is delighted to be invited to serve as a board member. Hilary was appointed to serve as a member of the Board in mid – 2021.

Crystal Shoji, Member – Crystal is a 22-year business owner of Shoji Planning, LLC in Coos Bay, a former Executive Director of the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, and a past 3-term Mayor of Coos Bay. Crystal was last elected to the Museum Board in 2018 and served as President during the Executive Director search period.
