Do I get a special class rate if I am a Coos Art Museum Member?
Yes. Each class or workshop lists both a CAM Member and Non-Member price, and/or other special pricing options. Your Membership must be current at the time the class starts in order to participate at the reduced CAM Member rate.
I am not yet a CAM Member. How do I become one?
Complete the membership form and return it with the appropriate payment corresponding to the membership level you selected.
I signed up for a class series with five sessions, but I can only make it to some of them. Can I get the cost of the missed classes deducted from the total or applied towards other classes?
No. We do not offer refunds if you are not able to take all the classes in a series. Refunds are only possible under the circumstances specified in the REGISTRATION & REFUND POLICY listed under each class description. Fee transfers to other classes or makeup sessions are also not permitted.
Can I book online?
Yes. You can book online by visiting our online Schedule and selecting the specific class for which you are wanting to register. Scroll to the bottom of the page for the booking form.
I submitted a booking for a class, but there was not an option to pay. What does that mean?
Once you submit a booking online, you will receive an automated “Booking Pending” email with payment instructions. Within 1 to 2 business days you will also automatically receive a separate email with an invoice containing a link to pay for your class using a credit card.
I am interested in specific class I heard about on the radio. Are there any spaces available?
For the most current number of spaces available for a particular class, please visit our online Schedule and select the specific class for which you are wanting the information. Scroll to the section titled “Bookings”; information regarding the number of space(s) left and any pending bookings is listed there.
I wanted to book online but the web page says that the event is fully booked. Can I get on a waiting list?
Yes. You can be added to a waiting list for the class by calling (541) 267-3901 ext. 105 and speaking with the Director of Art Education.
So I have to pay with a credit card online?
No. You may also choose to pay using other traditional methods. For example, you can mail in a check or pay with cash, check or credit card here at Coos Art Museum located at 235 Anderson in downtown Coos Bay. The important thing to remember is that regardless of how you choose to pay, you must do so promptly. If your payment is not received within 3 business days your spot in the class will be forfeited. You will be notified via email or regular mail should this happen.
I booked online and paid the class fee. What happens next?
You will receive an automated “Booking Confirmed” email. The Director of Art Education may also follow up with you during the time before your class starts in order to relay any special instructions or materials lists the art instructor may have.
I signed up for a class, but I just received notice from CAM that the class has been cancelled. Do I get a refund?
Yes. If Coos Art Museum management cancels the class, you will receive a refund check mailed to you within 7 to 10 business days.
What does it mean if a class is labelled a “Kids@CAM” program?
“Kids@CAM” is a special designation given to children’s art education classes that do not have a minimum participation requirement. This means that even if only one child is signed up the class is a ‘go’. Sometimes, but not all the time, all materials needed to participate in the class will be included in the class fee. If all materials are included it will state so in the class description.
