ELENA KARINA CANAVIER: CERAMIC RETROSPECTIVE

The late ceramist Elena Karina Canavier created sculptural porcelain works inspired by creatures of the sea. She was Craft Coordinator at the National Endowment for The Arts, Special Assistant for the Arts to The Office Vice President, and Director of the Public Art Trust during the 1970s. Her work is found in major collections throughout the US, including the Boston Museum of Fine Arts and the Smithsonian. Tour the gallery below!
