River of Bronze – take a tour

INVITATIONAL SCULPTURE EXHIBITION

February 17, 2017 – April 8, 2017

Bronze is an art media with a tradition spanning four millennia. Used to express ideas, spiritual to utilitarian, bronze – an alloy of copper and tin – arose with early civilizations and continues in importance to this day. This river of bronze through time is also reflected by its production with red hot liquid metal poured into molds. Ten western artists have been selected for their distinctive and individual approaches to bronze sculpture.

They are: Ann Morris of Lummi Island, Washington; Mitch Rolicheck of Coos Bay Oregon; James Fritz also of Coos Bay; Charles Tatum of Bandon, Oregon; Geoff McCormack of Eugene, Oregon; Bryon Draper of Springville, Utah; Holt Murray of Corralitos, California; Steve Reinmuth of Eugene; and Tom and Linda Walsh of San Jose, California.
