Coos Art Museum (CAM) is celebrating 50 years as a center of arts and culture on Oregon’s South Coast. In celebration of this significant accomplishment the Museum is be hosting CAM Community Days during its 2016 Anniversary year. CAM Community Days are interactive, hands on Saturdays in the art museum. Activities include: art projects, demonstrations, collaborative activities, community building and experiences that communicate local culture through artistic expression.

Saturday, May 28, 2016 is the third interactive Saturday themed, “Pass the Palette: A celebration of Collaboration & Art Elements.” Bring your friends and join us at Coos Art Museum for an afternoon of laughter, creativity and good spirited competition. Activities will include a “What’s in the Box?” arts adventure and a chance to claim the first ever “Pass the Palette Trophy.” (Pictured above) Gather your team of 4-6 people and come on down. Games begin at 11 am with new rounds every 30 minutes. Have family visiting for the holiday weekend? Add “Pass the Palette” to your family outings. All ages welcome. No special skills needed only an adventurous spirit.

This event is open to the public. Coos Art Museum is located in downtown Coos Bay on Anderson and doors open at 10 am. Admission to the Museum is FREE for CAM Community Days thanks to the generous support of local sponsors: Grami Properties, Honda World, Century 21 Best Realty, Inc. and Spotlight Country Bar & Night Club, Bay Area Rotary Club, Oregon Coast Council for the Arts.
