Continuing the tradition of supporting contemporary Oregon artists, Coos
Art Museum opens its galleries to new works by artists from around the
state. The CAM Biennial provides Oregon artists an opportunity to exhibit
their work within an art museum setting without the extensive jurying
process. The artwork exhibited in the CAM Biennial range from paintings
to photography, ceramics to glass, textiles to metals and more. Come
to CAM and see The Art of Oregon.

Voting
for the People's Choice Award will be conducted through the
run of the CAM Biennial exhibition. CAM will award the artist
receiving the most votes by December 6, 2008 with a solo
exhibition in 2009.

Mable Hansen Gallery – Paintings by
the juror of the Expressions West 2008 exhibition.
Seattle painter, Gary Faigin, is co-founder and Artistic
Director of the Gage Academy of Art as well as art
critic for KUOW radio in Seattle. He has been exhibiting
in Seattle since 1992. His work was featured in a major
retrospective at the Frye Art Museum in 2001. Reality
Check will inaugurate the museum’s newly
remodeled Mable Hansen Gallery.

tuition waivers.
