We will look at Piet Mondrian’s gradual abstraction. He starts with a fairly naturalistic tree and then through a progression of paintings ends up with something completely non representational. We will explore how to do this step by step, image by image, until the kids have made their own gradual progression from representational to completely abstract, but not necessarily random.

This class is limited to 12 participants ages 7-12.

The cost of the 2 hour class is $3 CAM member/$6 non members. All other materials will be provided.

Class will take place upstairs in the Coos Art Museum classroom.
